Solena Pinot Noir Grande Cuvee 2007

The Solena Pinot Noir is a terrific example of Pinot done well in Oregon. We thought it was was one of the best Pinots for our store to showcase what Oregon is doing, and we hope you'll enjoy the selection.

Wine Spectator Review

"Soft and fragrant, offering a semi-plush mouthful of cherry, spice and cream flavors that linger on the inviting, open-textured finish. Drink now through 2012. 104 cases made. –HS"

The Wine Advocate Review

"The 2007 Pinot Noir Grand Cuvee offers an alluring nose of toast, spice box, cherry, and raspberry. On the palate it has plenty of spicy, savory red fruit, light tannin, and excellent balance. Relatively forward, this excellent value can be enjoyed over the next 6 years."

Solena's tasting notes:

"This wine showcases the best that Oregon has to offer. From select vineyard sites throughout our region, enjoy this hand crafted blend as you celebrate the bounty of Oregon. With aromas of ripe Hood strawberries and fresh cut rose petals the 2007 Grande Cuvée displays a traditional, yet energizing, nose. The front palate leads with a core of bright cherry preserves followed by hints of red plums. The balanced acidity and soft tannins round out the finish, showcasing a complex yet easily approachable wine. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 7 years. Pairs well with Northwest inspired cuisine such as cedar planked salmon or barbequed pork loin."
